Theatre show for Europe’s Day in Neamt County

Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Tineretului Theatre from Piatra Neamt (Neamt County) it will be organized an artistic show entitled EUROPE’s DAY. This spectacle will take place in the main room of Tineretului Theatre, starting with 17:00 and its motto is EUROPEANS through the diversity of traditions and customs.

The Opening of the Equestrian School from Piatra Neamt, April 2010

Saturday, on April 17 2010, starting with 10:00 hours at the Equestrian Complex “Virgil Barbuceanu” from Piatra Neamt took place a special event: the opening of the equestrian school and of the equestrian competitive year. With this occasion there was a demo contest of jumping over obstacles with the participation of horses from Piatra Neamt, Targu Neamt, Bacau and Iasi.

Exhibition of Icons and Ceramics of Byzantine and Cucuteni Culture influences at the Art Gallery of “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural Centre

In April 2010, the Art Gallery of „Carmen Saeculare” Cultural Center is hosting an artistic moment organized by the students of Professor Zenaida Rotaru. They exhibited painted icons of Byzantine influence and they’ve been working on this art project from Christmas.
Also, in this exhibition we can see ceramics influenced by Cucuteni Culture that were made by children from The Folk Art School. The opening of the exhibition took placed on April 3rd, 2010. All those that were present were deeply impressed by the works of our youngest artists.

Traditional Martisor Festival in Piatra Neamt, 2010

Last weekend hundreds of people visited our Martisor Festival located in the historic center of Piatra Neamt. Local artists and craftsmen from Neamt County and all of Romania gathered to present handmade objects that we call Martisor,  considered to be a symbol of Spring and good luck.

Martisor Festival from Piatra Neamt

In Piatra Neamt, in the place called Curtea Domneasca (translated Royal Court) of Stefan cel Mare, between February 26 and 28, 2010 will take place the first edition of Martisor Festival where we would like to invite everyone that loves Romanian traditions. The traditional objects that we Romanians call Martisor are made by craftsmen from the entire area of Moldova and Romania.
