The International Festival “Vacante Muzicale la Piatra Neamt” (“Musical Holidays in Piatra Neamt”) started Friday July 2, 2010 at 21:00 in Piatra Neamt with a show by the orchestra “Mihail Jora” from Bacau that interpreted “Famous Opera Pages”. The International Festival “Vacante Muzicale la Piatra Neamt” (“Musical Holidays in Piatra Neamt”) is at its 39 edition and it represents a unique event in Romania. What’s special about this festival is the fact that it combines the concert activity sustained by the students and the bands that participate at the festival with symposiums, seminars of musical virtuosity, educative musical events, interpretation contests, musical workshops, artistic exhibitions, book-launch events and theatrical shows. This year, Piatra Neamt City Days will be organized between June 24 and June 27. The official opening will take place Thursday June 24 at 14:00 at “Stefan cel Mare” Tower from “Piata Libertatii” Plaza and will consist in a show where young talents from Piatra Neamt will perform for everyone that will be present.

Between May 28 and May 30, 2010 in Piatra Neamt will take place the Folk Art Festival “Lada cu Zestre”, near the Tower of Stefan cel Mare. The festival is organized by Neamt County Council, the Local Council and Piatra Neamt Town Hall, Neamt County Museum Organization and The Association of Folk Craftsmen from Moldova. May is a month in which many cultural manifestations and events take place in Neamt County: seminars, exhibitions and more.
