Equestrian Base named after Col. Virgil Bărbuceanu (riding champion himself) was founded as Sports Centre in 1986. Since then it was arranged as one of the best equestrian bases in the country for horse jumping over obstacles, over the years, at the horse base, were organized and televised numerous national and international competitions, who benefiting from the presentation of well-known sports commentator, Cristian Ţopescu.
