Skiing track-ski slope on the hill Cozla in Piatra-Neamţ

The skiing track-ski slope (965 meters lenght, the maximum level difference of approximately 260 meters, minimum width 20 meters), along with the tubing and snowboarding tracks (which have approximately the same technical data) are part of the Recreation Complex on the hill Cozla, the main point of attraction during winter for the locals and for tourists visiting our city.

The History Museum Piatra-Neamt – 80 years of activity

The History and Archaeology Museum from Piatra Neamt was founded in 1934 by Constantin Mătasa, receiving the title The Regional Museum of Archaeology. After 1960’s it was called The Archaeological Museum Piatra Neamt, from 1970’ s Piatra Neamt County Museum of History, and from 1978’s The Museum of History Piatra Neamt, and finally starting with 1991 it received the title that reflects the real specific of the museum: The History and Archaeology Museum from Piatra Neamt.

The History and Ethnography Museum Targu-Neamt

The History and Ethnography Museum Târgu-Neamt has the origin in a first museum exhibition organized at School no. 2 from Tg. Neamt, in 1940’s, having the title Neamt Fortress Museum. In 1957, at the celebration of 500 years of the enthronement of Stefan cel Mare in Moldavia, already existed The Neamt Fortress Museum and the District Museum of Stefan cel Mare , Târgu Neamţ. Buhalniţa Monastery

Buhalniţa Monastery is in Hangu, about 50 km from Piatra Neamt, on Route 15, after we pass Bicaz and move towards Vatra Dornei. Place of worship, Buhalniţa monastery has two patrons: of the Entrance in the church of the Virgin Mary and of Saint John the New of Suceava  and is founded by Prince Miron Barnovschi (1626 -1629 and 1633). Another sanctuary that existed before, is attested from the year 1458, built by Stephen the Great, given to the Neamt Monastery. Almas Monastery

Almas monastery is built on the site of an ancient monastic settlement dating from the fifteenth century, in a clearing, on the Almas valley, described in writings of Calistrat Hogaş. It is situated at a distance of about 12 km from Piatra Neamt, on Targu Neamt direction.
