Traditions in the mountains of Neamt County

Once you reached Neamt County as a visitor you can see the whole history of this place, starting with the ancient stone tools and ending with the modern ones. A complex exhibition can be seen at the history and ethnography museum from Bicaz.
This museum is the most important one from the mountain area. It was first open in 1958 with the purpose of presenting the construction of the first dam from Romania and the creation of Izvorul Muntelui – Bicaz Lake.

Ion Creanga Memorial House as an architectural monument

The Art Museum from Piatra Neamt 2013

This year was the re-opening of the Art Museum from Piatra Neamt after a period of time when the museum was closed for restoration during the program for “Restoration and value of Curtea Domneasca Plaza”. The museum hosts a wonderful collection of objects that are representative for Romanian art.

Valuable collection of the Archiepiscopate of Roman and Bacau

The ruler Alexandru cel Bun supported the Orthodox Church to become a powerful institution and also created the Episcopate of Roman. He raised the church from Roman at the rank of Episcopate Cathedral. On September 13 2009 with the accord of the High Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church the Episcopate of Roman was raised at the rank of Archiepiscopate of Roman and Bacau.

Mihail Sadoveanu museum collection from Neamt Monastery
