“Saint Parascheva’s” Archbishopric Church – Roman

Commissioned by Petru Rareş and his son Ilaş, the Cathedral complex is enlisted as a monument of religious architecture. In its five-century-old history is has been established as an important cultural centre of the area.
The unique icon of Moldova’ patron saint, Parascheva the Pious, and the extremely beautiful interior mural painting are among its main attractions.

Monastic Village Văratec

Petru Voda Monastery

Located in a beautiful glade in the mountains Stânişoarei, Petru Voda Monastery is one of the important centers of pilgrimage in the post-revolutionary Romania. It was founded in 1991, first as a hermitage by Father Iustin Pârvu, confessor and the first abbot of the famous monastic settlement, together with two monks disciples who accompanied him.

Văratec Monastery
