Virgil Bărbuceanu Equestrian Base in Piatra Neamt

Equestrian Base named after Col. Virgil Bărbuceanu (riding champion himself) was founded as Sports Centre in 1986. Since then it was arranged as one of the best equestrian bases in the country for horse jumping over obstacles, over the years, at the horse base, were organized and televised numerous national and international competitions, who benefiting from the presentation of well-known sports commentator, Cristian Ţopescu.
Stables of the base horse are currently host 19 horses, belonging to Lipitan breed, some of them use for hiking or carriage rides and 6 ponies used …

Armindeni * at Bicaz Chei – climbing the sheep at the sheepfold

Climbing the sheep up the mountain, at the sheepfold, is a pastoral celebration since Dacian times, which happens in May, with the formation of sheepfolds. It is the time for first milking of the sheep when are registered the rights of each part (shepherds – owners) of the products resulted. However are repaired the old sheepfolds and are organized by the participants, according to tradition, a true pastoral celebration. As known at Bicaz Chei is rooted this ancient celebration that overlapped Armindeni feast dedicated to the god of vegetation, considered the protector of …

Invitation to hiking around Piatra Neamt

Spring came and the surrounding hills (Bâtca Doamnei, Cernegura, Pietricica, Cozla, Carlomanu), lay at our feet intricate paths leading to their tops, as if inviting us to breathe the fresh air from their forests and meadows. In any season the landscapes are memorable. We decided to make a trip to Three Hills (about 660m), Three Buckets (about 680m), and then at Draga Hermitage, climbing Cozla Hill in Piatra Neamt. Neamt villages – Izvorul Alb (White Spring)
