Protected areas – Lakes Vaduri and Pângăraţi
For several years, to our surprise, migratory birds that usually meet them in the Danube delta and lacustrine areas of southern Europe, settled Bistriţa lakes downstream of Spring Mountain, especially on lakes Pângăraţi and Vaduri. It is a signal, we say, to show that they would follow climatic changes on which the birds feel them and they can feel a long time before than we humans. Being in an area where, once, during winters, is formed impressiveice bridges over the waters of Bistrita, the two lakes are gathering today several species of ducks (large, spearmen, rattles, Tufted, or head brown) winter swans, coots, silver gull populations, swans summer, little grebe.More rarely, one can see examples of waxwing, polar dip, egrets and small ferestras.
Besides, lakes Pângăraţi and Vaduri were designated Special Avifaunistic Protection Areas and presents, in addition to unique habitats, landscapes with high degree of attractiveness in both summer and winter.
Is always a delight for the local people, which are used with this painting of graces and more often for the turists that stop by to admire and take pictures of the birds.
