Equestrian Base “Virgil Barbuceanu” hosted on 11-15 June 2014 National Jumping Competition “Romanian Equestrian Federation Cup”, “Grand Prix Competition Stage-II” and “Piatra Neamt Cup” all for both amateurs and professionals, with prizes totaling ron 30,000. Organizers were Romanian Equestrian Federation and Club Sport “Equestrian” Piatra Neamt, in partnership with the Municipality of Piatra Neamt

The contest was enrolled 100 riders and 120 horses, numbering 15 sport test and were held in several categories. In “Teams” category, first place was awarded to CSM Sibiu, followed by “Felix Ţopescu” Otopeni at second place, and the podium was complete with Steaua Bucharest which won third place.In the “Relay race, two horses plus riders” first place was won by the club “Romsilva Dumbrava” Targu Neamt, equalityclimbed thepodium at second place, the club “Top Class Riding” Bucharest and Club Steaua Bucharest and third ranked ” Equitim ” Craiova. In the category of “Amazons”, first place went to Orsolya Teanc from “Aer Horses” Targu Mures with horse Chelsea,Ioana Rus from Steaua Bucharest came second with horse Aphrodite and Beata Solos witch horse Selena from “Felix Ţopescu” Otopeni, ranked third.In the category “Amateur” Ion Comsa from CSM Sibiu won first place with horse Unica, followed by Sorin Gheorghe with horse Hugo from “Top Class Riding” Bucharest and by Cristina Cotea from “Equester” Iasi who rode the horse Ritmic.In the category “Beginners”, on the first step of the podium went Ionel Moroşan from “Romsilva” Radauti with Zara horse, closely followed by Luke Ruxandariu from “Felix Ţopescu” Otopeni with horse Durra.

The audience enjoyed a great show where Ionut Ursache, from “Aer Horses” Targu Mures, athlete who started the equestrian ABC horse riding at Equestrian Base”Virgil Barbuceanu”, was again the best athlete winning the big fight in front of Steaua Bucharest Aurel Cojocaru, the jumping competition and Grand Prix with horse Granini, conquering not only the prize for first place but also important points that ensure a clear path to participate in other international competitions.

From the main organizer, The Club “Equestrian” Piatra Neamt, the voice of Mr. Costache Lupu, President of the club, I learned that Equestrian Base”Virgil Barbuceanu” will host the fourth stage of the Grand Prix and the second edition of the Cup Marsat, two important competitions, which will run from July 29 to August 3, which are expected as many fans of this great sport.
