Friday August 3 2012 took place the opening of the exhibition of the painter Romeo Ionescu at “Lascar Vorel” Galleries from Piatra Neamt. Romeo Ionescu is constantly preoccupied with matters of the Genesis in his art. His work is inspired by the unique figures of the Cucuteni Culture.

Romeo Ionescu was born in Targu Neamt in 1963 and graduated in 1998 the University of Design and Plastic Art “Geroge Enescu” from Iasi. These days he works as a restorer at the Institute of Archeology of the Romanian Academy in Iasi.

Over his career he had numerous exhibitions and his works can be seen in private collections from Romania, Italy, Hungary, Spain, France, Holland, Israel, Japan or United States.
