Between August 4 and 9 2012 will take place the XV edition of the International Folklore Festival “Ceahlau”, organized by “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center from Neamt County. There will be five beautiful evenings that will start at 19:00 every day. The shows will take place as follows: Piatra Neamt on August 4, Durau on August 5, Roman on August 6, Roznov on August 7. The closing of the festival will take place on the evening of August 8.

At the edition from this year will perform bands from Serbia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece and Congo. Lovers of Romanian folkloric music will have the chance to see performances by “Cununita” from Ilva Mare (Bistrita Nasaud), “Calusarii” from Stolnici (Arges), “Muntenarii” from Muntenii de Sus (Vaslui) and the band of the cultures’s house from Negresti – Oas (Satu Mare).

For the first time at this festival the organizers thought that the event to begin with a presentation of traditional folkloric clothing. The parade will take place on August 4 on the route “George Cartianu” College – Traian Blvd – The History Museum – “Ceahlau” Hotel – Tineretului Theater starting with 18:00.
