Thursday, July 5 2012 at 17:00 took placed at “Lascar Vorel” Galleries from Piatra Neamt the opening of the painting exhibition of the artist Dumitru Bostan senior. Lucian Strochi and Emil Nicolae spoke about the work of the artist.

The painter Dumitru Bostan was born in 1935 in Sipote village, Bacau County and studied the art of painting at the Students Culture House with Professor Pantelimon Vedenivschi. During his time at the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry from Iasi he opens several exhibitions under the guidance of Marin Sorescu and supported by Professor Val Gheorghiu. After that Dumitru Bostan studied sculpting and molding at the Art School from Piatra Neamt with Pompiliu Clement.

As an artist he participated in many group exhibitions in Romania and Germany. Most of his works are now in private collections. He is also the author of the book “Painting for amateurs”.
