Tuesday, November 8, 2011 will take place in Tupilati commune, Neamt County a cultural manifestation called “Tupilati – History pages”. The event will be organized in the park near the church St Mihail and Gavril and its main purpose is to commemorate the historic past of this region.

This year we celebrate 200 years from the building of the church, in 1811, by Stefan C. Catargi. Here was also the place where the celebration called Sadoveniana (a celebration of the writer Mihail Sadoveanu) took place.

The first part of the event will consist in a symposium “Tupilati – a legendary area with great artistic creations” where the participants will be writers, traditional artists and critiques. The themes that will be debated are the history and geography of the place, literature and local customs and traditions.

The second part of the event consists in presenting local traditions over the year and an exhibition with traditional creations from the area.

The organizers of the event try to commemorate the historic importance of Tupilati commune and invite you to participate and experience traditional art and customs.
