Folkloric show performed by the band “Les Jolievette” from France

folkloric-dances-piatra-neamt-les-jolievetteSaturday, April 2nd, 2011 in Piatra Neamt will take place a preview of this year’s edition of the Folkloric Festival “Canta bucium pe Ceahlau” (“The sound of the horn on Ceahlau Mountain”) dedicated to children from Piatra Neamt. The event is organized by the School Inspectorate and Neamt County Council with special guest the band “Les Jolievette” from Marne region, France.

The event will start Saturday morning with few workshops where participants will be members of the French guests and from local folkloric bands from The National IT College, The Technical College “Gheorghe Cartianu” and few others. The workshops will be organized in the festivities room from The Forestry Technical College.

During their stay the 18 members of the French band together with 2 official French represents will also have the chance to visit some of the most important touristic attractions from Neamt County.

Also Saturday, starting with 15:00 in the big room from Neamt County Council will take place a folkloric show where will participate bands from The Art and Trades School from Vanatori-Neamt, from “Victor Brauner” Art High School and children from Piatra Neamt Children’s Palace. Starting with 16:30 the French band “Les Jolievette” will perform traditional French dances from the Marne region.

The organizers of the event, the School Inspectorate and Neamt County Council, invite you to be a part of this moment dedicated to all those that love traditions and folkloric art and dances.
