The Show “Hora Unirii” from Piatra Neamt
The show “Hora Unirii” will take place in Piatra Neamt, Monday January 24 at 14:00. The event will take place at the headquarter of The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Petrodava” and celebrates 152 years from the Union of the Romanian Historical Regions – a crucial moment in our history. In that time, Alexandru Ioan Cuza was elected ruler of both regions.
To mark the occasion the folkloric band “Florica de la Munte” will present a show of dances from Moldova and Muntenia. Together with this band will also perform Brandusa Diaconu-Chirita, Georgiana Axinte-Serban and Ion Dascalu. The artists will be accompanied by the band “Florica de la Munte” and will sing melodies that represent the two historical regions, Moldova and Muntenia.
The event will also contain historical communications about the importance of the Union. The persons that will speak about this moment: Gheorghe Radu, an active officer, captain Bogdan Jinga and Mircea Mihail, a retired colonel. The show will end with a traditional Union Dance (called “Hora Unirii”).
The event is organized by “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center and The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations “Petrodava”. The organizers invite you to participate at this event, Monday, January 24 starting with 14:00 and to enjoy a folkloric show.
