urban-readings-piatra-neamtPiatra Neamt, one of the latest mountain resorts of Romania, is the ideal place to spend the summer holiday because of the fresh air of the mountains. This year, together with other 20 cities from Romania, Piatra Neamt will participate in the event organized by Urban Readings (Lecturi Urbane) and invites everyone that loves to read to participate at this amazing experience.

On July 31 2010, in “Piata Libertatii” Plaza from “Turnul lui Stefan cel Mare” Tower from Piatra Neamt will be the first edition of the project Urban Readings. This social project wants to encourage reading in public places and to create a new way to improve the life of communities through reading. The event will start at 15:00 and will last an hour, during which you can be together with your friends that have a passion for books.

We invite you all to Piatra Neamt to write a story about people and books and to experience the day of July 31 2010 in a pleasant and productive way. If you have a true passion for books you can also donate a book into one of the special organized places: the skate shop from Petru Rares Street at no 2, at Neamt County Library or at Tineretului Theatre where you’ll find the “Piatra Neamt Citeste” Box!

The books donated will be offered by the Urban Readings Team to people participating at this event. The message is that you can always find an hour from your time to read a book and to escape from the daily routine!

You can read more details about this event on their website at neamt.orasulciteste.ro or www.orasulciteste.ro!
