Bison Land Ecotourism destination is the place where nature, spirituality, culture and traditions come together in perfect harmony, to create a unique visitor’s experience! Bison Land ecotourism destination encompasses Vânători-Neamţ Natural Park, Târgu Neamţ town, Agapia, Bălţăteşti, Crăcăoani and Vânători-Neamţ communes. It is the only place in Europe where bison can be seen in freedom, semi-freedom and captivity, at the same time.

Spirituality is it is an indissoluble part of the ecotourism destination. The region is the 2nd most crowded monastic settlement after Mount Atos, with more than 1100 monks and nuns living in the monasteries and hermitages in the area. Another unique tourist attraction in Europe are the monastic villages of Agapia and Văratec.
In March 2022, Bison Land won the “public vote” distinction at the awarding ceremony of Top 100 Sustainable Destinations, and is the only ecotourism destination in Romania included since 2017 in this top of the most sustainable destinations worldwide.
