The International Festival “Vacante Muzicale la Piatra Neamt” July 2 – July 4, 2010
The International Festival “Vacante Muzicale la Piatra Neamt” (“Musical Holidays in Piatra Neamt”) started Friday July 2, 2010 at 21:00 in Piatra Neamt with a show by the orchestra “Mihail Jora” from Bacau that interpreted “Famous Opera Pages”. Lovers of classical music had the opportunity to listen famous pages from: W.A Mozart –„Figaro’s Wedding”, G. Rossini – „The Barber from Sevillia”, P. Mascagni – „Rusticana Cavallery”, G. Verdi – „Nabucco”, G. Puccini – „Manon Lescaut”, G. Verdi – „The Enchanted Flute”, G. Verdi –„La Traviata”, G. Bizet – „Carmen”, Strauss – Radetzky Marsch performed by the orchestra conducted by Iurie Florea.
The festival continues on July 3 with a recital from Anastasia Buruian that will perform at 16:00, at Tineretului Theatre. She will sing from Puccini, Tosti and Ceaikovski. Anastasia Buruian was born in Moldavia Republic and over time she performed in numerous concerts from Holland, Italy, Germany, Swiss and England. She is a permanent collaborator of Cluj Opera. The show will end with a performance from “George Enescu” Art University of Iasi.
In the evening of July 3, at 21:00, on the scene organized in “Piata Turnul lui Stefan cel Mare” Plaza we invite you to a ballet show. The music is composed by Luca Iuriciuc and the choreography by Cristina Todi. The people of Roman will also witness a classical show in memory of Sergiu Celibidache that will start at 21:00 in “Piata Roman Musat” Plaza.
The last day of the festival, Sunday July 4, will end with a show at 21:00 at “Piata Turnul lui Stefan cel Mare” Plaza with a classical concert performed by the orchestra “Mihail Jora” from Bacau with Theodore Coresi at bass and Cristina Ruscior at violin.
