Unique in Europe for the diversity of the dendrological species which developed around the lake area, the park awaits for you to offer rest and contemplation. During summertime, leisure boat rides can be arranged on the lake. The lake has three thematic islands: Brâncuși Island, where you can admire replicas of Brâncuși’s works “The Table of Silence” and “The Endless Column”; Green Planet Island, where different species of birds live -black swans, peacocks, exotic ducks, pigeons-; Waterfall Island, which connects to the park through a bridge and is equipped with an observatory. Along the quiet lanes you will discover the “Writers’ Rotunda” which displays the busts of Creangă, Eminescu, Sadoveanu, Alecsandri, Caragiale, Vlahuţă, Kogălniceanu, Miron Costin, Enescu, and the monument of Ion Ionescu de la Brad.
