Info trip to Neamț with over 100 national guides
Four days of memorable experiences await the guides who have accepted the invitation to explore the picturesque, historical and cultural Neamț County.
“International Tourist Guide Day” is the event dedicated to the guides who work in both inbound and domestic tourism in Romania. Thus, our guests will visit some of the most appreciated landmarks: Neamț Fortress, Vânători-Neamț Natural Park, the Vătatec and Bistrița monasteries, the Royal Court and the Cucuteni Museum in Piatra-Neamț, a gondola ride, and a visit to the Durău Resort.
The entire experience also includes an exhibition of ethnographic and culinary traditions from the Neamț area, meetings with local craftsmen, and visits to accommodation units in Piatra-Neamț.
The essential aspects of the event, its goals to highlight the elements of natural, cultural, and historical heritage that give uniqueness to the destination, will be discussed during the conference on February 21. The meeting will also serve as an opportunity for debates on topics, aspects, and challenges specific to the profession of tourist guide.
Organized for the first time in partnership by the OMD Association “Hai la Piatra!”, the Piatra-Neamț City Hall and Local Council, and the Neamț County Council, we hope that this initiative will be the beginning of other similar events that will bring new opportunities for the county’s tourism development, and that offers from operators in the HoReCa sector will be more included in domestic and inbound circuits, thus increasing the number of tourists coming to discover Neamț County.
