Participants will be delighted by wonderful landscapes, will have the opportunity to interact with hospitable locals, taste delicious dishes prepared according to traditional recipes, and engage in adventurous canoes and kayaks competitions, for all ages, regardless of their experience.

On Saturday, JUNE 3, 2023, competitors will be able to take part in a 40km marathon or a 20km half-marathon, and the evening will end with a themed Retro Party.
On Sunday, JUNE 4, 2023, there will be two contests: a sprint competition starting from Bicaz Dam towards Bicaz Dock, and a second competition of Eskimo-rolling. A kayak roll or Eskimo roll consists of righting a capsized kayak by use of body motion and/or a paddle. The roll is an essential for paddlers who attempt serious whitewater, and the thrill comes from staring at the swimmers’ abilities to straighten up, since they have slightly less maneuverability and control, and are far more exposed than in the boat.
Bicaz Kayak Fest is organized by “Outdooris Club” in partnership with Bicaz City Hall, and aims to promote health through movement, encourage and develop the kayaking community in Romania through meetings and sports competitions open to amateur and professional lovers of kayaks, canoes and other light watercraft in the country and abroad.
Therefore, during the Whitsuntide (Pentecost) weekend, we are eagerly awaiting for you in Neamț, to join Bicaz Kayak Fest 2023, on the “sea between the mountains”, in an impressive natural setting.
