Neamț County was noticed in Republic of Moldova on Europe’s Day
Neamț County was promoted at the events that celebrated Europe’s Day in Chișinău and in Edineț, where real looking like “European Cities” were displayed. Stands with tourist areas throughout Europe and displayed beautiful sites and tourist attractions of all kinds for the visitors.
Of all the ”European Cities” displayed in Chișinău Romania’s stand was the one with the highest appreciation because of its special locations. Due to the interactive activities for the visitors, the face-painting and keychains making workshops, that were done for the kids’ excitement, the prize winning Quiz contests on topics about Romania and the European Union, the free of charge brochures, Romania’s stand was the biggest, the most visited and the most appreciated one from all the “European Cities” in Chișinău during the entire time of the event.

At Edineț, the ”European Cities” Romanian stand has attracted many visitors, being carefully arranged and with a great attention to detail by the General Consulate of Romania in Bălți, with the support of Romania ‘s Embassy in Chisinau, Consular Office in Ungheni and ” Diaconia ” Social Mission.

At both the events from Chișinău and Edineț, Neamț County was also represented on the stands of Romania and it caught the eyes of the large number of people who came there with its beautiful places, in various forms of presentation, such as brochures, magazines, maps, flash drives and more, reaching both the curious visitors eager to discover new places, as well as the dignitaries and officials of the Republic of Moldova, members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Natalia Gavrilița, Vice President of the Parliament and Mr. Mihail Popșoi who were present at the demonstrations in Chișinău.
High dignitaries such as the President of the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Maia Sandu, the Ambassador of the European Union, Jānis Mažeiks, as well as local officials, the mayor of Edineț, Constantin Cojocaru also received promotional materials with the tourist attractions of Neamț County and Romania’s stand in Edineț was highly appreciated.
This year, the events dedicated to Europe’s Day that took place in the regions of the Republic of Moldova started on the 14th of May and will continue until the 5th of June, 2022. Details can be found here: https://eu4moldova.eu/ro/europe-day-2022/
Romania’s presence at the two events was possible with the support of several institutions and organizations dealing with diplomatic relations between the two countries, Romania and the Republic of Moldova, recalling the Department for relations with the Republic of Moldova within the Romanian Government, Association of Romanian investors of the Republic of Moldova (air), “Diaconia” Social Mission, county councils in the country, including the Neamț County Council, the Romanian Embassy in Chișinău, the General Consulate of Romania in Chișinău, the Romanian cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu”, the General Consulate of Romania in Bălți, the Consular Office in Ungheni.
The events dedicated to Europe’s Day are part of the large-scale public diplomacy actions of the embassies of the Member States of the European Union accredited in the Republic of Moldova.
