A drive on the Axial Road during any season is always refreshing and a positive choise for anybody.

Considered the most attractive, but also the shortest route that connects the Izvorul Muntelui and Durău areas, DJ 155F, also called Axial, was rebuilt and reopened to traffic, in August, after 20 years since the road hasn’t been rehabilitated.

Last summer, after the official reopening for traffic, tourists came in a large number to have a drive on the Axial Road:

Tourists coming towards Ceahlău Massif and Durău resort, from Piatra Neamț and Bicaz can now use the shortest and most picturesque route, the Axial Road, completely rebuilt since the month of August of the current year. Until recently, to get to Durău, drivers had to make a detour of 110 km.

The axial also facilitates the work of the team from Salvamont Neamț, which thus transports the injured tourists more quickly, to the hospitals from Bicaz and Piatra Neamț.

The route goes through Ceahlău National Park, therefore tourists can always expect to see wild animals nearby.
