”Be Local, Buy Local!” stands for a local healthy economy

The first edition of the fair ”MADE IN NEAMȚ” was organized between the 1^st and 3^rd of October 2021. The fair was a good occasion to celebrate autumn, promote local products and bring together producers from all around Neamț County. Not only was it well received, but it even raised the public’s admiration.

Not only the locals, but also the tourists that were in the area or who especially came from the nearby counties enjoyed the tastiest dishes from the Neamț County’s producers, enjoyed the folk music rhythms, the specific dances and folk costumes of these lands. The public attending the event also had the opportunity to embark on a “Journey into the Bison’s Kingdom”, the most recent and highly appreciated film presentation of the county, which had its premiere.

The special autumn decor of the fair was considered by the people a special invitation to have a personal photo shoot.

During the three days of the event, the public, coming in a large number, strongly stated their enthusiasm and joy for having the opportunity to participate at this event.

The feedback from the audience was an important point of view for the organizers:

”Welcome ”Made in Neamț”, we wish you a lot of success and all the best! We needed such a local value fair, that promotes exquisite traditional Neamț dishes and supports the local economy, things that all the communities need to learn from the already well-known phrase: Be local, Buy local!”

Buying and using local products encourages the local producers!

“MADE IN NEAMȚ”, the exquisite taste of Neamț County!

The fair was also the opportunity to launch the cluster ”MADE IN NEAMȚ”, which was founded the local producers to come together, to promote and encourage the growth of the local economy by the means of buying and using the Neamț products, that are most of the times either tastier or more natural than those from the supermarkets.

Thus, Be Local, Buy Local! – already a well-known phrase – is based on a philosophy of the local producer and consumer with important advantages for both of them, in order to strongly support the growth of the local economy with direct and immediate benefits for all those involved in the community.

Apart from the cultural-artistic aspects, the public present at the event understood and appreciated the significance of such a fair with products from Neamț, which we hope will be a start / a birth certificate for a traditional event.

Until recently, in the ”MADE IN NEAMȚ” Cluster over 20 Neamț manufacturers have registered and after the first edition that has already ended,  it is believed that many more will join.

At the end of the ”MADE IN NEAMȚ” fair all the manufacturers were congratulated and applauded by the public.

This event was organized by the Neamț County Council in partnership with ”Carmen Saeculare” Center for Arts and Culture in Neamț, Neamț Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Local Council-Piatra Neamț City Hall.
