Borca commune remained in the literature pages written by many famous writers, such as: Dimitrie Cantemir, Alexandru Vlahuță, Gala Galaction, Calistat Hogas, Mihail Sadoveanu. If you arrive here, you should definitely follow the footsteps of the main character of Mihail Sadoveanu’s novel “The Hatchet”, Vitoria Lipan, who went after her husband who had been killed by two shepherds. Therefore, the road towards Stânișoara hill is filled with stories, history and traditions and the rusty cross marks the place where Nichifor Lipan was struck with the hatchet.

Here is the place where you can really enjoy the peace and quiet in the middle of the nature, the thick and shady forests, the clear waters and also the kind, crafty people who preserve their customs and traditions. They are always welcoming and eager to share with the visitors the stories, legends and charm of the local surroundings.
