Visitors can spend a special holiday in Neamţ Land, discovering a fairy tale like realm, immersed in myths and legends. Here, Ceahlău Massif, the Holy mountain of the Romanians, shrouded in mystery and spirituality, reflects its majesty in the huge mirror of water of Izvoru Muntelui Lake, the largest anthropic lake in Romania, also called “the sea between the mountains”. With breathtaking views along each of the 8 marked trails, Ceahlău Massif is the place where every year tourists can observe two unique phenomena in the world: The Shadow of the Pyramid and the Stairway to Heaven (the Sacred Way).
Some scholars believe that one of the energetic meridians of the globe passes through Toaca Peak (1904m). This makes Ceahlău Massif a tourist attraction as interesting as Stonehenge or the Egyptian pyramids.

Among the places exerting a strong fascination for tourists we mention Bicaz Gorges, with the road full of serpentines of rare beauty, and the giant walls of limestone rocks reaching high to the sky, and also Cuejdel Lake, with trunks of broken trees coming out of the still surface of water, which is a wild oasis, a landscape changing colors from one season to the next, forever fascinating.
One spectacular place to visit is Neamţ Fortress, a national heritage monument of great historical and architectural value, with the historical turmoil and bravery of the soldiers defending the fortress still reverberating from its old walls. “The Land of the Bison” in Vânători Neamţ is an internationally renowned destination, and has been included in Top 100 Sustainable Destinations worldwide, a global contest organized by Green Destinations in partnership with other international organizations working in the field of sustainable tourism.
