The tourist route that we propose starts from Bicazul Ardelean, until Telec village, about 4.5 km on paved road. At a roadside we’ll find a wooden church dedicated to Saint Dumitru, with original interior paintings who wear its hat from 1692, that we can visit. Once in Telec we can visit the wooden church which is dedicated to Exaltation of the Holy Cross, built in 1880. Both churches are historical monuments. From Telec, from the confluence of the creek Bistra with creek Jidan, we go on the communal road that links the Telec village to Ceahlău commune along the Bistra Valley, over Curmatura La Scaune, down the valley Paraul lui Martin. After crossing about 5 km we reach a small meadow at the confluence of the creeks Bistra Mare with Bistra Mica, at an altitude of 804 m. Near in Poiana Stanile, is the hermitage of Saint Anthony, with accommodation and campsites. It has a drinking water source. From the front of the hermitage starts a forest road on Bistra Mica Valley and, after we pass the last houses, we enter through the towering pines in a mixed forest (mostly fir and beech). Trail, marked with a blue line, climbs gently crossing landscapes of rare beauty on the Bistra Mare Valley, and, soon we come to light, where meet the two Bistra and are uniting their tumultuous waves. We will walk the path that, at one point, intersect again with the village road and from here climbs the slopes of the right side of Picior with Strungile. After about a half hour walk we reach the meadow from the Curmătura La Scaune, where it was discovered an archeological site. Here it is placed an orientation pillar. Following the marking, we will arrive in about an hour at Curmătura Stanilelor, where we find the indicator that shows us the way to the left to Cabana Dochia. From the Curmătura we can admire the south-west face of the mountain Ceahlău, over which dominates the edge Ocolasul Mare, the splendid panorama with gutters, with steep walls that have a belt of conifers, to the Tower of Budu and below a little seen of Poiana Stanile. With a lot of luck we may see chamois clambered on rock, or even lynx on the tree branches. The path winds through the woods, we go over Curmătura La Scaune. The trail marked with blue tape and red dot is crossing a meadow and climbs steeply the slopes Piciorul Stanilelor. We go through thickets of juniper, blueberry and cranberry and reach trough Jgheabul of Voda. Attention to the vipers, which does not attack man unless they are attained or do not feel threatened. We are heading for Piciorul Schiop plateau. The serpentines are shortened to a crossroads of paths marked one with a red cross towards Duruitoarea, other blue ribbon that is our path towards Dochia. Already we see that the vegetation is alpine, that it sees Toaca peak, or that from where we are, are seen heights of mountains Călimani. We do not have much. We pass through rocks with strange shapes, beautiful views, unforgettable appearances, we out-n way Transfiguration Hermitage, and, after 2-300 meters we reach the Dochia Chalet, where we will take a deserved halt. It’s a long trail of almost 19 km from center of Bicazu Ardelean, but easier than all routes, because most of it can be done with a 4 × 4 car!
