Craftsmen Ștefan Grigoriu
Artisan Ştefan Grigoriu, lives in Targu Neamt, is 55 years old and is the grandson of the famous master of Târpeşti, creator of ethnographic museum, Nicolae Popa. To carve and make masks, learned under his guidance, passion for craft probably comes from him, but from his uncles also, who are famous carpenters in Petricani. “I attended the ITB Fair, 2015 in Berlin (World`s Leading Travel Trade Show, this year 4th to 8th of March) with my products and I have been successful,” says modestly, showing us the various items made, in which we discover talent and artistry, “but I’m not just craftsman fair, I work to order dish shelves, pail, dippers, salters, large spoon with ball, ladles, little pans for fruits (fruits bowls), candleholders, rustic furniture, tables with chairs, benches, headboards, pencils, wooden masks, because I live from it. I use any essence of wood, but lately, more fir wood, cherry, walnut, maple. I am, of course, invited to craftsmen fairs organized in cities and malls, often, but cannot respond at all. I am part of Nemţeanca Craftsmen Association from Targu Neamt, Moldova Craftsmen Association, the Association of Craftsmen from Neamt County. ”
