Days of Bicaz
From Friday, October 24th , until Sunday, October 26th , 2014, were days of celebration in Bicaz. On Friday, in The Town Library, history professor Dragomir Oprea a known personality of the city, with participation of the critic Cristian Livescu, launched his book “The twentieth century, the Romanians bloody century”.
The cultural event was continued with a medley of folk songs presented by the talented guitar teacher Cristina Marin.
Saturday, October 25th , the Romanian Army Day at the House of Culture and at The Heroes Monument, bicaz residents, city hall representatives, war veterans and priests attended to a ceremony dedicated to the soldiers who have fallen in battles for the liberation of the country. After this touching moment, all present watched the award and honor of the gold couples, celebrating the family solidity, love and spiritual wealth of those who are an example for young families. Next followed the show prepared by The Secondary School and High School “Carol I” students from Bicaz. Also on Saturday, starting at 10.00 were held in gyms and stadium, sports competitions of athletics, tennis, chess, handball, mini football, mini-mountain bike.
Sunday, Day of The Holy Great Martyr Dumitru, patron of Bicaz city, was celebrated in the church “St. George”. During the day, was continued the racing sports the first places being rewarded with diplomas, medals, cups and applause. The events were concluded in agreements of fanfare, to the delight of those present.
