HARD ENDURO Piatra-Neamț – 2014

DSC_9801Hard Enduro is a special world, a world that lives extreme risk, inducing a large dose of adrenaline for both spectators and especially for competitors who are crossing “impossible” paths with their bikes in the mountains with hills, rivers, forests, natural obstacles and artificial obstacles hard to pass up, let alone by bike…

In the competition of Piatra Neamț, this year signed up 140 bikers including british David Knight, holder of three World Champion titles in the classic enduro and The Tough One 2014, Paul Bolton, rider of the world top 10, south african Young Wade and Emanuel Rogojan.

The competition was held in five categories, given the experience of competitors: Expert, Hobby, profit, veterans girls . The category TOP 20 PROFI riders, finalist were awarded points in the European Cup of Enduro Extreme. Hard Enduro Piatra Neamt 2014 had a total prize pool of over 10,000 euros as well as enduro equipment and accessories worth a total of 3500 euro.

Contest routest marked different by organizers given the difficulty separately for each class and for each day of competition, crossed the wilderness of the Tarcăului Mountains and Mount Cernegura.TheStart of Hard Enduro competition was given on Mount Cozla, a place that offers not only great for compiling a natural route and a spectacular view over Piatra Neamt and surroundings. To be kind a mini-holideay foreign competitors were four days of trail in the woods.

 

The circuit was designed by Patrick Boissy, a French enduro enthusiast who lives for 20 years in Romania.

At the end of the contest, top 5 riders was consisted of: Graham Jarvis, Jonny Walker, Alfredo Gomez, Paul Bolton and Martin Volny. The Briton from KTM Team, obtained for a period of time first place in the European Championship Enduro race in the mountains Tarcăului. In The Cup overall ranking, Jonny Walker is followed by Graham Jarvis and Alfredo Gomez.
