A new edition of “Lada cu Zestre” Traditional Art Festival will take place in Piatra Neamt, Tineretului Park between May 23 and 25 2014. The event is organized every year with the main purpose of keeping traditions alive.

This year there will be over 60 artisans invited to the festival from different ethnographic areas of Romania and from The Republic of Moldova. Among the objects that will be exposed we’ll see traditional fabrics, traditional shirts, sculpted wood objects, ceramics, masks that remind us of the winter holidays, leather objects, painted eggs and religious icons.

There will also be an award gala. Neamt County Council will offer the awards “The Prize for creation in traditional art” and “The Prize for promoting traditional art” and Neamt County Museums Complex will offer the award “Neculai Popa” as a tribute of the artist from Tarpesti.

“Lada cu Zestre” Traditional Art Festival the IX edition is the result of a close collaboration between Neamt County Council, Piatra Neamt Town Hall, Neamt County Museums Complex, The Association of Local Artisans from Moldova and The Association of Local Artisans from Neamt County.
