On January 24 2014, Neamt County Council, “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center, the Military Garrison from Piatra Neamt and the Associations of “Reserve officers” and “The heroes cult” celebrated 155 years from the Union of the Romanian Regions. The event had an artist moment performed by the traditional band like “Floricica de la Munte”. There was also symposium “The Union was made by us!” and the opening of the temporary exhibition “Photographs and interesting documents from the collections of the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt”.

The symposium “The Union was made by us!” had the following discussion themes: “From Tudor Vladimirescu to Cuza”, “The Union of the Romanian Regions in the European context”, “The Cultural medium and the politics” and “The Union from 1859 in the press of the time”.

The exhibition “Photographs and interesting documents from the collections of the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt” is open to the public from January 24 to March 10 2014 and can be seen at the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt. The entrance is free.
