Trails in Pangarati Forest Reserve
The most visited touristic attraction from Pangarati commune is Pangarati Monastery an important historic and religious place located on Bistrita Valley, near the road that goes from Piatra Neamt to Bicaz and near to the power plant Dimitrie Leonida. Numerous tourists come to this place but few venture on the trails that go into the forest reserve from Pangarati.
To reach this place you have to go on the road that goes near Pangarati Monastery and walks you through the village. The yew reserve is one of the local attractions that stretches on 1,5 ha and is one of three reserves of this kind from Romania. The age of the trees exceeds 80 years and currently the reserves is in the custody of Ecomoldavia Association.
The road goes through a rich forest. The beauty of the trees, the fresh air, the colors of autumn and the place contributes to a special atmosphere. All the senses are revitalized by a walk through this place. The road will continue until it reaches a plane from where you have a beautiful view over Lake Izvorul Muntelui and Ceahlau Massif.
