Starting with July 1 2013 at “Lascar Vorel” Galleries from Piatra Neamt a new exhibition has opened of the painter Dumitru Bostan. The exhibition contains paintings and graphics with the theme Piatra Neamt town. The works were presented during an opening hosted by the art critique Emil Nicolae. The organizers of the event are the Artists Union, Neamt County Museum Complex and “Lascar Vorel” Galleries from Piatra Neamt.

The artist Dumitru Bostan was born in November 27 1962 in Piatra Neamt. After he graduated “Nicolae Grigorescu” Art Institute from Bucharest, he started his art career in 1986. The most important exhibitions he took part were in 1994 at New York at the “Lost Art Gallery”, in 1996 at the art festival from Bucharest, Oscillations – Transgressions from Canada 2000, the collective exhibition “A summer at Antilesti” from the “Apollo” Galleries from Bucharest in 2009, the personal exhibition at “Ana” Gallery from Bucharest in 2010.

Over his career, Dumitru Bostan obtained many awards like the graphics award at the annual “Lascar Vorel” from Piatra Neamt from 2009. Some of his paintings are in private collections from Romania, France, Germany, Italy, United States and the Art Museum from Piatra Neamt.
