“Florile Ceahlaului” Folkloric Festival the XXV edition
Between February 24 and March 2, 2013 will take place in Piatra Neamt the XXV edition of the National Folkloric music Festival for young and children “Florile Ceahlaului” (Flowers of Ceahlau). At the contest will participate young with ages between 8 and 25 from all over Romania.
The participants had the chance to enroll until February 22 and the headquarter of the festival from Piatra Neamt, which is located at “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center but also online on the webpage florile.ceahlaului.culturaneamt.ro
This year edition of the festival will be organized in two main sections: traditional Romanian canto and folkloric musical instruments. The canto section will be divided on age categories, on from 8 to 15 and the other from 16 to 25. Contestants will have to present a doina (traditional Romanian song) and an authentic piece from their region.
At the musical instruments section, contestants will present two instrumental traditional songs that will be different as style and genre. The background band of the festival will be the Folkloric band “Floricica de la munte”.
The organizers of the festival ar “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center in partnership with Neamt County Council.
