Valuable collections in the art museums from Neamt County
Neamt County offers to art lovers the possibility to admire the art collections of three museums that contain works that depict landscapes, portraits and other artistic compositions. Nicolae Grigorescu, Tonitza and Iulia Halaucescu are just three of the great painters that are exposed in these collections.
In the Art Museum from Roman tourists will see the quality of drawings that express characters and different states of mind in portraits of the artist Maria Ciurdea, in paintings of Constantin Isachie or in the landscapes of Nicu Ene. The calm of the rural moments is captured in paintings of Gheorghe Iliescu, Vicentiu Grigorescu, Spiru Chintila and others.
The 5 rooms of the Art Museum from Piatra Neamt contain over 200 works signed by Aurel Baesu, Constantin Stahi, Lascar Vorel, Nicolae Tonitza, Gheorghe Petrascu, Ion Irimescu and others. The exposed works illustrate important moments from the Romanian art creation: the national character and interferences with the European art, the period between the two world wars or marks in the contemporary art.
The art museum “Iulia Halaucescu” from Tarcau has 6 room where are paintings made by the artist and donated to the village.
