The painting exhibition “Greece in oil and aquarelle” by Oana Gavriliu
In the room “Cupola” from Neamt County Library, starting with Thursday, October 25 2012 art lovers had the chance of seeing the paintings of the artist Oana Gavriliu. The exhibition is called “Greece in oil and aquarelle” and was made with the occasion of the national day of Greece.
The exhibition contains 28 paintings inspired by the recent period of time when the artist stayed near Thessaloniki and the Chalkidiki peninsula. Oana Gavriliu was impressed by the colors of the Aegean Sea and the continental environment. She manages to capture that in her paintings and much more. The chromatic of the exhibition is dominated by the color blue, green of China and earth like colors.
Oana Gavriliu was born in 1971 in Piatra Neamt and followed the courses of the Faculty of Leather and Fabrics from Iasi. Over her career she had many personal exhibitions and also participated to several collective ones.
The exhibition “Greece in oil and aquarelle” was presented by the art critique Lucian Strochi, a member of the Artists Union from Piatra Neamt.
