Traditional food an important element of tourism
Sunday, October 21, starting with 13:00, the Ethnographic Museum of Moldavia from Iasi, in partnership with the Association ProSupport Iasi organized a traditional food tasting event at the Parochial Museum from Pipirig. The event is part of the local workshops series “Traditional food – competitive factor in tourism” and has as main objective the possibility of attracting tourists in the North – East region of Romani through traditional food products. Of course that the most expected moment of the event was the tasting of traditional products.
Another workshop with the same theme took place Saturday, October 20 in Suceava, at the Museum of Bucovina’s Villages. At these events were invited people from different markets: culture, tourism, hotels, pensions, restaurants, that have the chance of promoting traditional food to tourists.
The value of the project stands in generating a healthy environment where people realize the potential that traditional food has to influence tourists to come and visit these places. The main persons that will benefit from this project will be the local communities, hotels, pensions and restaurants.
