Visit “Aripi si Petale” Exhibition from the Natural Science Museum of Roman
For 2 months, the Natural Science Museum of Roman will host a temporary exhibition entitled “Aripi si Petale” (“Wings and Petals”). The exhibition was created together with specialists from the Natural Science Museum of Ploiesti and represents a unique combination of butterflies and floral rarities. Visitors will have the chance to admire the beauty and diversity of exotic butterflies and fossilized plants.
At this exhibition will be presented different species of butterflies from Africa, America, Europe and Asia. You’ll also see numerous plants and floral rarities of exquisite beauty.
The exhibition has a great value because the butterflies presented are from 1930 and preserving them involves a great deal or work and dedication. The exhibition shows a link between butterflies and flowers and how they need each other to live.
These butterfly species are harder to observe in their natural remote and sometimes exotic environment and one of the main attractions of the exhibition are the frames with butterfly wings.
The Exhibition “Aripi si Petale” (“Wings and Petals”) from the Natural Science Museum of Roman can be visited until May 31, 2012 between 09:00 and 17:00 from Monday to Sunday.
