Friday, December 23 2011 starting with 10:00 will take place the 43 edition of the customs and traditions Festival “Steaua sus Rasare”. This festival became over the years a usual event in Piatra Neamt that takes place near the winter holidays.

For over 4 decades this festival unites the most important folkloric traditional groups. At the edition from this year will participate 16 bands from counties like Neamt, Iasi, Suceava, Botosani and Arges. The bands that will participate to the parade are: „Căiuţii” (The Small Horses) from Tudora–Botoşani, „Sumanarii” from Trifeşti-Neamţ, „Cerbul şi ursul” (The Deer and the Bear) from Cepleniţa–Iaşi, „Urşii giroveni” (The Bears from Girov) from Girov-Neamţ, „Datina” (The Custom) from Breaza–Suceava, „Alaiul de datini şi obiceiuri” (The customs and traditions band) from Taşca–Neamţ, The customs and traditions band from Tazlău–Neamţ, „Alaiul de datini şi obiceiuri” (The customs and traditions band) from Răuceşti–Neamţ, The customs and traditions band „Mioriţa” from Piatra Şoimului-Neamţ, „Izvoarele Borcutului” (Borcut’s Springs) from Borca-Neamţ, „Arnăuţii” from Văratec-Neamţ,  The Folklorik Band „Bratia” from Vlădeşti-Argeş, The customs and traditions band from Ştefan cel Mare-Neamţ, „Muguraşii Mărginenilor” from Mărgineni-Neamţ, The customs and traditions band  from Târgu-Frumos-Iaşi and The Folkloric Band „Floricică de la munte” of “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center from Neamt.

The route on which you can see the parade is Tineretului Theater – Culture’s House – The History Museum – Mihai Eminescu Boulevard – Ceahlau Hotel – Stefan cel Mare Plaza.
