The National Festival of folkloric music for children and young people “Florile Ceahlaului” will take place in the festivities room of Neamt County Council, between March 5 and 6 2011. This 23rd edition of the festival is organized in two days, when participants will compete for “Florile Ceahlaului” Trophy.

The preselection for Neamt County took place Saturday, February 26. Here are the selected contestants that will represent our county into the final: at the section of age between 8 and 15 Ana Dragu and Elena Padurariu from Targu Neamt, Sergiu Chirileasa from Bodesti and Nicoleta Andrei from Margineni and at the second section, for ages between 16 and 25 we’ll be represented by Simona Elena Manolache from Targu Neamt.

Saturday, March 5, starting with 15:00 will take place the preselection of the participants from other counties. At this preselection will participate over 30 contestants from Suceava, Bacau, Iasi, Botosani, Vrancea, Vaslui, Dambovita, Prahova, Bistrita Nasaud, Sibiu, Cluj, Galati, Maramures, Buzau and Arges. Also, on Saturday, after the preselection, starting at 19:00 there will be two recitals by the winners of the previous edition of “Florile Ceahlaului” Festival and the well known artist Maria Salaru.

Sunday, March 6, starting at 18:00 will take place the final of the festival, where the best 15 participants will compete for the trophy. The evening will end with a show presented by the winners of the festival and a recital of Matilda Pascal – Cojocarita, Stefan Cigu and the folkloric band of “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center, “Floricica de la Munte”.

The organizers of the event, “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center and Neamt County Council invite you between March 5 and 6 2011 at the festivities room from Neamt County Council to support the participants from Neamt County. The entrance is free in both days of “Florile Ceahlaului” Festival.
