Touristic route Piatra Neamt – Roznov – Costisa
Piatra Neamt, because of its location, is a place of great natural beauty and cultural and historical heritage. Cozla Park from Piatra Neamt – Cozla Park is organized in steps; first you’ll find the restaurants Colibele Haiducilor (translation: The Outlaw’s Hut) and Cercul Gospodinelor (translation: The Circle of the Housewife). At the base of the park you can also visit a small Zoo with species from the local fauna and a few from far away parts of the globe. On the peak of Cozla Hill, you can find the arrival station for the Telegondola, the slay slope and the starting point for the sky slope.
The Museum of Natural Science from Piatra Neamt – The permanent exhibition of the museum is organized under the form of a monographic presentation of Neamt County from a geological stand of point and a paleontological and ecologic one as well. Today, the exhibition hosts approximately 40,000 pieces that are related to the flora and fauna of the Neamt County. Here you can also see a collection of fossilized fishes that is unique in the world.
The Museum of Eneolitic Art Cucuteni – The Museum of Eneolitic Art Cucuteni was inaugurated in the summer of 2005 and it’s the first museum of the Cucuteni Art from Romania. The building of the museum is located across the street from Piatra Neamt Town Hall and it displays over 300 pieces from the Cucuteni and Pre-cucuteni cultures – these objects are included in the category of “thesaurus object” of national heritage.
The Memorial House Calistrat Hogas from Piatra Neamt – The Memorial Museum was organized in the year 1969 in the house where the writer Calistrat Hogas (1847-1917) lived. The house has a very interesting architectural style, was built in 1885 and it’s enrolled on the list of architectural monuments of The National Cultural Heritage. The permanent exhibition includes family documents, manuscripts, the original furniture and personal objects that belonged to the writer.
Roznov Park – The Park has a surface of over 3 ha and represents one of the attractions from Roznov. The Park was located on the estate of Colonel Roznovanu and was the place where the high members of the society from that period came to relax. Inside the Park you’ll also find St Nicolae Church with its impressive architecture.
St Nicolae Church from Roznov – The church is located in the park from Roznov and it was built at the end of the XIX century by the famous political man, the colonel Gheorghe Ruset Roznovanu. The building has an unusual architecture for the area as it resembles a church with Russian influences in its architecture.
The Area Piatra Soimului – Luminis – Negulesti – in this beautiful area you can admire Veselaru Lake (this is a natural lake formed in 1940 following a landslide). Here you can also visit Duras waterfall that is compared with the famous Duruitoarea Waterfall from Ceahlau Mountain. The last attraction of the area is the Dacic Stronghold Horodistea.
Nechit Monastery – The church from Nechit is built on a plane from the west side of Nechit village and it’s surrounded by woody hills. This place was chosen by the monk Nechit. He lived and prayed in these places and he is the one that gave the name of the village, the river and the monastic settlement. The first church was made out of wood and had as its patron St Nicolae and was known as Nechit Hermitage. The church is mentioned in a document as being located on the valley of the Nechit brook between 1399 and 1419.
Tazlau Monastery – The monastery from Tazlau is first mentioned in a document from October 30 1458, when ruler Stefan cel Mare re-enforces the walls of the monastery. Between 1496 and 1497 the stone church is built on top of the old wooden church built by ruler Alexandru cel Bun.
