“Sarbatoare pe Ceahlau” Festival – August 8 2010
Sunday, August 8 2010 in Ceahlau commune will take place the first edition of “Sarbatoare pe Ceahlau” Festival (“Sarbatoare pe Ceahlau” can be translated as “Celebration on Ceahlau Mountain”). This festival, which is organized at the same time as Ceahlau Mountain Day, is meant to promote traditional cultural values and cultural tourism in Neamt County.
“Sarbatoare pe ceahlau” Festival will begin at 13:00 with a folk dance show. At this festival will participate 11 folk bands from Neamt and Suceava counties, with over 200 participants that will be wearing traditional Romanian clothes and will offer a traditional folk show.
Here are the bands that will participate at the festival: “Drumul Baltagului” Band from Borca, The Folk Band „Stejarelul” from Pangarati, „Miorita” Band from Piatra Soimului, „Braduletul” and „Izvorasul” bands from Tazlau, „Flori de munte” Band from Tasca, „Trandafirul Oantului” Band from Oantu, the Folk Band of Ceahlau School, „Sanzienele” and „Ciobanasul” bands from Tupilati, „Cetina Calimanilor” Band from Neagra Sarului-Suceava.
“Sarbatoare pe Ceahlau” Festival is organized by Neamt County Council, Ceahlau commune Hall and “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Centre and it’s dedicated to Ceahlau Mountain Day.

13:00 – 17:00 will perform the following folk bands: „Drumul Baltagului” from Borca, the folk band „Stejarelul” from Pangarati, „Miorita” from Piatra Soimului, „Braduletul” and „Izvorasul” from Tazlau, „Flori de munte” from Tasca, „Trandafirul Oantului” from Oantu, the folk band of Ceahlau School, „Sanzienele” and „Ciobanasul” from Tupilati, „Cetina Calimanilor” from Neagra Sarului-Suceava.
17:00 – 19:00 will perform the Folk Band „Floricica de la munte” from “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Centre, Georgiana Axinte Serban, Brandusa Diaconu Chirita, Ioan Hongu, Sergiu Chirileasa and Ana Dragu.
19:00 – 21:00 will perform Narcis Precup and Robert Tarnaveanu
22:00 fireworks
