In Neamt County you can practice angling on few lakes and ponds especially organized for this purpose. Here are some of these locations:

Lake Izvorul Muntelui
The lake is located near Bicaz, as you head towards Ceahlau Massif or Resort Durau. Some of the fish species that can be found in this lake: perch, pike, trout, bream, rudd and crucian. You’ll need a fishing licence to fish in the lake.

“Zimbraria” Fishing pond
Located in Vanatori-Neamt commune, inside “Dragos Voda” Bisons and Carpathian Fauna Reserve. The fishing pond is made out of three smaller ponds. Fish species that can be found here: carp, ten, perch, Novac Chinese, pike and perch.

“Rechinul” (Shark) Recreational Complex
Located in Costisa commune, 300 m away from DN 15, the recreational complex includes a lake especially organized for angling, barbeque, playground for kids and a restaurant that serves fish based meals. “Balta Porcului” Fishing pond
Located between Agarcia village and Piatra Neamt, on the shores of Lake Batca Doamnei, the fishing pond has more than one pond. Here you can fish for crucian and carp. For now there is no fishing tax.

“La Moldovean” Fishing pond
The lake is located in Dragomiresti commune on a road hard accessible by car. Here you can fish for: carp, phytophagus, Novac, carp and perch small.

“Simionesti” Fishing pond
The lake is located in Simionesti village, Cordun commune, and is known by fishermen as a place where you don’t leave empty handed. Here you can fish for pike, tench, crucian and carp. The access is permitted only with a fishing permit.

“Danaila” Fishing pond
The fishing pond is located on Bogdan Dragos Street, right at the exit from Roman town. Here you can fish for: pike, perch, crucian and carp.

“Ferma Caritas” Fishing pond
The fishing pond is located in Sabaoani commune, at approximately 2 km away, on the road to Iasi. The pond is populated with species like carp and crucian.

“Unghi” Fishing pond
The pond is located in Unghi village, Dragomiresti commune. It has a surface of over 3,5 ha and is close by the road going from Piatra Neamt to Hanul Ancutei. Here you can fish for: carp, phytophagus, carp and perch.

Budesti Lake
The lake is located in Faurei commune (between Roman and Piatra Neamt).
