Short description

The Natural Reservation “The Copper Forest” extends on an area of 10,2 ha and is formed mostly of 100 years old oaks. Here, we can also see over 300 plant species. The brook Filioara goes across the hill and it forms small swamps with rusted mint. The plain that surrounds the forest is covered in the “wind grass” and red plants, hence the name “The Copper Forest”.

When the sunset comes you can admire, under the light of the last sunrays, the “red sky” described by our grates poet Mihai Eminescu in one of his poems.
